The apartment could not be more central, it is just a 5-minute walk from the lake shore and 12 minutes from the Piazza della Riforma.
On the border of Switzerland and Italy, the city of Lugano is known for its stunning location, rich cultural heritage and excellent restaurants and cafés. The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. MASI (the Museum of Art Of Italian Switzerland) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. A day trip on the Lago di Lugano, sailing between Switzerland and Italy is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake.
For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (8-minute walk).
The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is just 7 minutes by taxi from the apartment.
