This historic coastguard's cottage is situated in the
picturesque Cornish fishing village of Gorran Haven on the South West
Coast Path. The cottage has wonderful views out to sea
and is three minutes' walk from two beaches - Gorran Haven Beach and
quieter Little Perhaver. Its owner's family have been visiting and living in Gorran Haven for 40 years and are delighted to now be able to share this very special village with
you.
On the ground floor you'll find a light-filled open-plan kitchen and living room with log burner and two large sash windows looking over the front garden and surrounding coastline. The kitchen is well equipped with a Stoves range cooker and dining space for six.
Off the kitchen is a wet room and cloakroom – perfect for sandy bodies just off the beach.
From the sitting area, stairs take you to the first floor where you can find:
Bedroom 3: a walk-through room with single cabin bed suitable for a child. This room has a small workspace and can also be used for a travel cot (but please note you need to walk through this room to get to the bathroom from Bedroom 1).
Bedroom 1 (accessed via the walk-through room): this master bedroom at the front of the cottage has a king sized bed, TV, large wardrobe and stunning sea views.
Bedroom 2: At the back of the cottage is a small bedroom with garden views. It can be set up with a king-size bed or two small (2ft 6inch) singles. This room has a blackout blind, a small wardrobe and can accommodate a travel cot.
Bathroom: The first floor also has a bathroom with freestanding bath.
To the front of the property you’ll find a sun terrace with a small table and chairs, ample covered storage for wetsuits and body boards and more glorious views. There is a small lawn in front of the terrace. While dogs are welcome at the property, please note the garden is not enclosed.
2a Coastguard Cottages has parking for two cars - a rarity in the village centre.
You will have access to the whole cottage, garden and driveway (though this is shared with the neighbouring cottage).
