Wake up to a view of the Space Needle before even getting out of bed. It keeps getting better on your rooftop patio space with cityscape and mountain vistas as a backdrop to Lake Union. The Wallingford neighborhood is walkers paradise for any errands or exploring you might want to do by foot. There are lots of trendy dining, shops, and attractions nearby. CLEAN, COZY & STOCKED Taking a cue from its neighborhood, the townhome's interior design also blends past and future seamlessly, with minimalist, mid-century and Scandinavian-inspired design and thoughtful touches. Warm your hands on a cappuccino from the Nespresso machine and cozy up on the rooftop patio to gaze at the twinkling lights of the epic Seattle skyline. On a night where it might be drizzling outside, Modern Cityscape also includes a record player (and a record collection) for your lo-fi enjoyment and books + boardgames for screen-free connecting with your favorite people. Plus, of course, thoughtfully chosen throw blankets for snuggling up on the couch. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS + Private and fenced ground level garden complete with outdoor seating, a BBQ grill and wetbar + Coffee bar with a Nespresso machine, French press, tea, sugar and cream + High-speed Wi-Fi & Smart TV - access your Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Prime accounts + Three bedrooms: each on their own level with queen-size beds and private bathrooms + Updated open-layout Kitchen (oven/stove/microwave) stocked with all of the basics + Keyless entry with a digital lock + Ground level bedroom has private entrance, fenced in garden and kitchenette + Two designated workspaces in both the ground floor and Master bedrooms + Mini split heating/cooling (rare in Seattle!) + Full-sized washer & dryer, iron, and ironing board + Luggage racks + Hair Dryers PARKING: Street parking only, with a parking permit we provide. THE NEIGHBORHOOD The unit is located in a laid back neighborhood and bordered by The University District, Fremont, GreenLake and Phinney Ridge. Nearby parks include Christie Park, University Playground and Sadako Peace Park. Because of its proximity to the UW campus, there are always plenty of bars and restaurants bustling with locals! Well-known chefs have moved their restaurants here and trendy restaurants have been popping up all over which has really raised the bar for dining in the area. University Village is a great shopping area with well known shops and some boutiques, too. Just a 5 minute drive from the house you will find Woodland Park Zoo. Woodland Park Zoo now has 250 species, 900 animals and 92 acres! You can surely make a full day of this trip if you're up for it. You could also check out Gas Works Park on Wallingford's south edge. It’s the perfect place to set up your own picnic and relax by the water while enjoying the historical remnants of – no surprise given the park's name – an old gasification plant. Some of the plant has been recently renovated into a brand new children's play area. Guests will have exclusive access to the entire townhouse, including the outdoor fenced garden space and rooftop patio. We take extra precautions to ensure our home is a safe space for the health and well being of our guests. This includes professional deep cleaning between every guest stay and we provide approved disinfectant hand soap and wipes. This home is managed by Seattle’s Best Stay, a boutique short-term rental property manager with a passion for exceptional hospitality and beautiful spaces in our home city. For check-in, simply arrive after 4 PM and let yourselves in using the keyless, digital lock with a unique code that we will provide prior to your arrival. Wallingford Wallingford is the most walkable neighborhood of Seattle so getting around by foot is no problem. It is very bikeable too. We are situated in a convenient place for public transportation, with several bus stops nearby to downtown Seattle, Fremont, South Lake Union, or the University District for the University of Washington. It is just a 10 minute walk to the new UW light rail station. You can also drive into downtown Seattle in about 15 minutes, and Uber/Lyft are widely available.
