Location
The apartment is in a quiet area but ideally situated for many of the activities on offer. The port in Toscolano Maderno is a stop-off point for boats going all around the lake. On the water visitors can swim, fish, canoe, sail, windsurf and dive. Whilst on land, Toscolano Maderno’s lakefront is a glorious place to walk at any time of day. Away from the lake, there are hiking and mountain bike routes through scenic countryside, horse riding (15 minutes) and a golf course (8 minutes).
The town of Toscolano Maderno (15 minutes) is packed with things to see. For self-catering, the weekly market (Thursday morning) provides delicious local produce to cook at home.
Lovers of art and history can visit the famous "Vittoriale degli Italiani" home of Gabriele D'Annunzio in Gardone Riviera (20 minutes) and the new Salò museum called "MU SA” (25 minutes).
The nearest airports are Verona Villafranca (1 hour 20 minutes drive) and Milan Bergamo (1 hour and 25 minute drive).
