Right on the shores of Lake Maggiore, this apartment is one of 4 in an attractive farmhouse conversion. Spread over 2 floors, the apartment sleeps up to 5 people in comfort. The interiors are full of rustic charm, with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. It makes an idyllic base for a holiday exploring the beautiful Italian lakes.
On the ground floor, there is a spacious sitting room, which enjoys panoramic lake views. It is furnished with antique and contemporary pieces, including an L-shaped sofa and wood-burning stove. Next to this is a large kitchen which is well equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. The dining table in the kitchen can seat 6 people.
An elegant staircase in the living room leads up to the charming study on the first floor. This is furnished with a desk and chairs, with magnificent lake views. It is ideal for a quiet bit of reading.
Sleeping
All three bedrooms lead off the central study.
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It also enjoys lovely views of the lake.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom has a French double bed and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: This more modern bedroom has a queen-size raised bed, with a desk below.

Bathroom 1: On the ground floor, this bathroom has a full bath with a shower head, a bidet, basin, washing machine and WC.

Location
The apartment is just 7 minutes north of the town Sesto Calende, which has been inhabited since Roman times. Visitors can stroll through the historic centre, with its narrow streets and cobbled squares. The weekly market takes place every Wednesday morning in the centre. Here guests can find the best local ingredients to cook at home. There are all the amenities needed for an easy holiday including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and a wide range of excellent restaurants.
The picturesque town of Angera, which is dominated by Rocca Borromeo is 10 minutes from the apartment. From here you can enjoy day trips on the lake to the 3 Borromean Islands; hiking around the lake and the unique wetlands nature reserve of Oasi della Bruschera – a short ferry ride away. If you miss market day in Sesto Calende, then Agnera’s weekly farmers market takes place every Thursday
The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP), approximately a 40-minute drive from the apartment. Alternatively, Sesto Calende is just 1 hour by train from Milan.
