  - The owner stays at the property between guest visits, and some personal items are stored on-site. - **Kayaks and Paddle Boards:** - 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards available for guest use at your own risk. - After use, please turn kayaks upside down to drain any water. - **Portable Fire Pit:** - Available for use, but guests must provide their own firewood. - **Pet Policy:** - Pets are not accommodated at this time. - **Smoking Policy:** - No smoking in the home or on the porch. - Smoking is permitted 10 feet away from the home—please dispose of smoking debris properly. - **Boat Usage:** - The boat is off-limits. - Unauthorized use of the boat may result in termination of your stay and large fines. - Local boat rental options are available if desired. - **Pre-Arrival Requirements:** - Guests must complete a pre-arrival form and agree to rental conditions before their stay.

  - **Directions:** - Contact your host for accurate directions, as GPS may take you the wrong way. - **Parking:** - Shared access driveway. - Park in front of the shed near the fence on the left. - **Property Access:** - You will have the entire property and private beach to enjoy. - **Owner’s Personal Items:** - The owner stays in the home between guests, so some drawers contain personal items.

  - Ubers and Lifts are limited to none in La Porte. - Enterprise Rental Cars is about 10 minutes from the property. - South Shore Line Train (best for travel to Chicago) is about 20 minutes away in Michigan City.

  - **Tucked-away lakefront home** offering privacy with trees and fences, set back from the main road. - Surrounding homes do not block the stunning lake views. - **Nearby Attractions:** - **Soldier's Memorial Park** (short drive): Public beach, walking trails, and playground. - **Downtown La Porte** (minutes away): Local and chain restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. - **Fox Memorial Park** (5 minutes away): Public beach, walking trails, and playground. - **Lake Michigan** (25 minutes away): Easy access for a day trip.
