Noordwijk aan Zee is located in the middle of the Bollenstreek (flower bulb area), where you can cycle along the flower bulb fields in spring. You can hire bicycles near the house. The Keukenhof is definitely worth a visit. There are also cycle routes through the beautiful dunes, both in the direction of Katwijk and Zandvoort. There are more rural cycle routes in the direction of Wassenaar, Leiden and Warmond. Events are regularly organised on the boulevard (flower parade, painting festival and summer markets). There is always something to do, whether the weather cooperates or not (beach pavilions and numerous terraces, theatre, shopping street, mini golf, wellness centre, fresh air on the beach).
