Location
Close to some of Salento’s most beautiful beaches, between Torre dell’Orso and Otranto, Family Village is well-located for guests who want to explore Puglia’s ancient past and relax in the sun. If you can tear yourself away from the resort’s beach, then a trip to Baia dei Turchi (13 minutes) and the Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea bathing rocks (10 minutes) will make an excellent day out.
Away from the coast, the famous Alimini lakes are a haven for bird watchers. Alimini Grande is just a 4-minute drive from the resort. Here visitors can enjoy hiking, picnicking and swimming, or they can hire canoes.
The peaceful port town of Otranto (18 minutes) makes a lovely day out. Here, visitors can enjoy the castle, a lively port and excellent restaurants. The weekly market (Wednesday morning) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home. If you miss the market, there are several supermarkets in the town.
The closest airport is at Brindisi - 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car.
