This is complemented by a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast table to make sure you have everything for a comfortable self-serviced holiday. Location
Within a 10-minute drive, you can reach the sun-soaked Lido di San Domenico to enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Lugano. After refreshing and enjoying the lakeshore, you can also discover the several historic buildings and museums of national significance that make Lugano famous among travellers. In fact, in Lugano, you will find the perfect combination of history and nature. The funicular to Monte Brè and San Salvatore (both 15-20 minutes drive) also goes from this millennial city, and on these towering peaks, you can enjoy trekking, sunny terraced restaurants and even visit the picturesque lakeside village of Gandria (from Monte Brè).
For active vacations, Lugano boasts almost 300 km of cyclable paths to enjoy as well as the Sentiero dell’ Olivo hiking trail taking you through its various hidden spots. For lovers of nature, Lugano has several parks to relax in and admire the exotic flora, like Tassino Park and the centrally-located Parco Ciani.
