Notes
Welcome to Grandpa John’s Cabin — where lake life meets nostalgia, comfort, and charm.
Tucked away in the heart of Four Seasons and just minutes from the vibrant Shady Gators and Camden on the Lake entertainment complexes, this restored original log cabin offers a one-of-a-kind stay steeped in history, nature, and cozy luxury. What was once Grandpa John’s family retreat has been lovingly reimagined into a modern cabin experience that celebrates everything we love about the Lake of the Ozarks — peaceful mornings, long conversations, and nights under the stars.
Step inside and feel right at home in the open-concept living and kitchen area, where rustic log walls meet modern design. Curl up by the stone fireplace with a cup of coffee from the gourmet coffee bar, play your favorite record on the vintage record player, or unwind with a board game after a day on the water. The fully equipped kitchen offers updated appliances, a beverage cart, and everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals or lakeside cocktails. The dining room comfortably seats six — the perfect space to share a meal, a story, or a few laughs.
The cabin offers two beautifully designed bedrooms and two full bathrooms. On the main level, you’ll find a cozy bedroom with a full-size bed and a full-over-full bunk bed, a Smart TV, and a dedicated workspace. This room also features a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower/tub combo, vanity, and toilet. Step outside to your private deck, where you’ll be surrounded by towering trees and morning birdsong — the perfect spot to sip coffee and watch the sunrise while deer and squirrels wander nearby.
Head downstairs to discover a spacious king suite featuring a plush king bed, twin chaise lounge, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet. This level also includes a washer and dryer for guest use, making extended stays convenient and comfortable.
Outdoors, Grandpa John’s Cabin truly shines. Enjoy outdoor dining with a propane grill, relax in the Adirondack chairs while the sun sets over the treetops, or gather around the wood-burning firepit to roast marshmallows and share stories late into the night. You’ll have ample parking space for several cars and even room to bring along a small boat trailer — ideal for guests looking to explore the main channel or nearby coves.
At Grandpa John’s Cabin, we ask all guests to help us preserve the peaceful and respectful spirit that makes this home so special. The minimum age to rent is 25, and a verifiable ID is required. All guests must be registered prior to check-in. We have a strict no-party policy and quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM to ensure we remain good neighbors — excessive noise or disturbances may result in early termination of your stay without refund. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis with prior registration and approval; there is a limit of two pets under 25 pounds, and an additional pet fee applies. Bringing an unapproved pet will result in termination of your rental and a $500 fine. Please note there are stairs leading into the property and between floors, so this home may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges. The firepit and propane grill are available for use, but guests are responsible for refilling propane or purchasing additional firewood if supplies run out during their stay. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside or outside the property, and a $500 cleaning fee will apply for violations. Thank you for treating this cabin with care and kindness — just like Grandpa John always did.
Access
Guests have full private access to the entire cabin and property during their stay.
