The spacious living area, with a view of Lago Maggiore, has a large contemporary sofa, cane armchairs, a flat-screen TV and a dining table. A glass door leads out directly onto the shaded terrace and another dining table and BBQ for meals al fresco. The separate stylish modern kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and an american-style coffee machine, plus a breakfast bar with stools for snacks.
Casa Francesca’s garden is truly stunning, with wonderful views of the lake and the mountains beyond. There are several seating areas, in addition to the shaded terrace. There are sun loungers and deck chairs, an outdoor shower, a more formal seating area on a different terrace and a charming, vine-covered pergola for romantic drinks looking out over the lake.

Location
The house is in a quiet area but within easy reach of many of the region’s finest sites and amenities. Three of Castelveccana’s loveliest beaches are just two minute’s drive from the villa. A picnic by the waterfall,the Cascate della Froda (15 minutes) appeals to all ages. Otherwise there a many hiking and biking trails through the unspoiled countryside and forest.
The villa is 15 minutes from Laveno-Mombello where you can find a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as a frequent ferry service for car passengers to the western side of the lake.
For self-catering, guests will be spoiled for choice with the local shops and famous Luino market every Wednesday (20 minutes) which is known as one of the best food destinations on the lake.
The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa 1 hour away by car.
