About this area

About the Valencia Area
Welcome to Valencia, the vibrant heart of the Valencian Community in Spain. Nestled on the sunny eastern coast, this city is a lively mix of history, culture, and remarkable beauty. From its modernist architecture to its sun-dappled orange groves, Valencia has a unique charm that captivates everyone who steps foot inside its borders.
What can you do in Valencia?
Valencia is a treasure trove of historic landmarks, such as the striking Valencia Cathedral and the grandiose Torres de Serranos. For art lovers, the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern, Spain's first center of modern art, is a must-visit.
The City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of entertainment and culture, is a testament to Valencia's innovative spirit. It houses an opera house, a planetarium, and the largest aquarium in Europe, the Oceanografic.
What about dining options?
Delight in the local cuisine at the bustling Mercado Central, one of the oldest running food markets in Europe. Indulge in a traditional paella at La Pepica, a restaurant loved by Ernest Hemingway, or enjoy Michelin-starred dining at Ricard Camarena Restaurant.
How is Valencia for outdoor activities?
Valencia is an all-season playground for outdoor enthusiasts. In spring, the Jardí del Turia, a verdant park that winds through the city, is perfect for strolling or cycling. Summer calls for a dip in the Mediterranean at the city's blue-flag beaches like Malvarrosa and El Saler. In fall, the nearby Albufera Natural Park offers serene boat excursions amidst its lush wetlands. And in winter, the milder temperatures make for comfortable exploration of the city's historic sites.
So, are you ready to discover Valencia? Its charming streets, rich history, and vibrant culture are waiting for you!
