About the accommodation
The two-family house is situated on a sunny hillside, surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation, and offers a sweeping view over Lake Maggiore. The flats are nicely furnished and have everything you need for a relaxing holiday - from crockery and cooking utensils to games for children. Everyone will find a place to relax in the well-tended garden with pool and sunbathing lawn. The two flats have separate entrances, the garden and pool are shared.
Important to know
The pool is used by both flats. If you are looking for a lot of privacy by the water, you should take this into account. There is a lovely fireplace in the living room, although it cannot be used at the moment as the chimney needs to be renovated.
Nevertheless, the well-functioning heating system ensures cosy evenings - it warms quickly and creates a pleasant, soothing atmosphere.
Room layout
The lower flat offers space for four people. It has a large living area with fireplace and terrace as well as two bedrooms. From the terrace you can enjoy a direct view of the greenery and the surrounding countryside.
Location and connections
Casa Rustica is only around ten minutes by car from Ascona. The nearest bus stop is around 300 metres away. Bars, restaurants and the lake promenade are just a few minutes' walk away, making it easy to enjoy a holiday without a car. Thanks to the location, peaceful living in the countryside can be ideally combined with the amenities of the nearby towns.
Activities and experiences
The region offers a wide variety of activities: leisurely hikes to Ascona with views of Lake Maggiore, the climb to Sacro Monte, boat trips to the Brissago Islands or adventures in the Gordola rope park. Those looking for culture and history should visit the Madonna del Sasso in Orselina or the Falconeria in Locarno. Typical Ticino grotti invite you to linger along the way, and even at home the pool in the garden provides hours of relaxation. Whether sporty, cultural or enjoyable - the possibilities are varied all year round.
