150 km northeast of Kajaani, 75 km southeast of Suomussalmi, the cottage is located close to the Russian border (1.5 km) in Kuivajärvi, Finland's only inhabited Viena Karelian village. Large, hand-carved log cabin, built in 1964, renovated in 2015, large living room, kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2-3 beds in each room (rooms updated in 2023, new beds and bedding), sauna (electric stove), washroom with whirlpool bath and 2 showers , dressing room and lounge, meeting and exhibition space. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs, the sauna facilities are in the basement. The kitchen is equipped with large kitchen appliances, cheerful hot and cold serving tables for serving food.
