Fish Haven sits on the eastern shore of Bear Lake—known for its turquoise water and summer recreation (swimming, boating, beach towns). The neighborhood is low-density residential with a mix of lakefront vacation homes and year-round rural residences. Expect a quiet, scenic atmosphere with nearby small-town restaurants and seasonal businesses clustered in Garden City and St. Charles across short drives. Outdoor attractions nearby include Bear Lake beaches, hiking, fishing, and snowmobiling in winter.
Private car is the primary way to get around; the area is car-dependent. Drive times to key nearby towns: Logan, UT ~55–75 minutes; Montpelier, ID ~30–40 minutes; Paris, ID ~25–35 minutes. Roads are mostly state and county routes (US‑89 and local county roads) and are generally well-maintained but can be icy or snow-covered in winter. There is no regular local bus service and no nearby commuter rail — expect to rely on rental cars, and personal vehicles. Bicycle use is possible for short trips but roads may lack shoulders; walking is practical only for very local destinations.
This is an older, rustic cabin rather than a newly built or modern luxury home. It was one of the original cabins built in the neighborhood, in the late 80's. Guests who appreciate a relaxed, traditional cabin experience and easy access to Bear Lake will feel right at home.
A $35 damage waiver is included as part of the cleaning fee for each reservation. This waiver helps cover accidental damage during your stay, up to $1,500, and is included automatically with your booking.
