Once you have completed the online check-in, you will receive the necessary codes to enter the property. Please note that if you arrive after 8:00 PM, customer support will not be available, so it is very important to review all instructions thoroughly ahead of time. No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside the property. In case of violation, a penalty of 150 euros will be applied to cover the costs of additional cleaning required to remove odors and repair any damage caused.     Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island, is a vibrant city full of history, culture and nature. Here is a list of things to do in Santa Cruz de Tenerife: 1. Visit the Plaza de España The Plaza de España is the heart of Santa Cruz and one of the most important meeting points of the city. Here you can relax near the large fountain and enjoy the views of the harbour. The square is also close to many other tourist attractions, such as the old town and shopping areas. 2. Auditorium of Tenerife ‘Adán Martín’. Designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, the Tenerife Auditorium is an architectural emblem of the city. As well as being visually stunning, you can check out the programme of shows and enjoy concerts, operas and cultural events. 3. Explore the García Sanabria Park This beautiful park is one of the largest in the city and a perfect place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy its tropical gardens, outdoor sculptures, and shady paths. It is ideal for a relaxing stroll or picnic. 4. Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) If you are interested in the natural history and culture of the Canary Islands, this museum is a must-see. The MUNA has fascinating exhibits on Tenerife's volcanic history, local fauna and the Guanche culture, the island's ancient inhabitants. Guanche mummies are one of the main attractions. 5. Enjoy Las Teresitas Beach Just a few minutes' drive from the centre of Santa Cruz, you'll find the iconic Playa de Las Teresitas. It's a golden sandy beach brought from the Sahara, surrounded by palm trees and with calm waters. It's perfect for spending the day relaxing, swimming or enjoying water sports. 6. Our Lady of Africa Market Known simply as ‘La Recova’, this market is a reference point for food lovers. Here you can find a wide variety of fresh produce, from local fruit and vegetables to cheeses, cured meats, fish and seafood. It is an excellent way to sample the flavours of the island and discover typical Canarian products. 7. Calle Castillo: Shopping and strolling Calle del Castillo is the main shopping street of the city, where you will find fashion shops, local boutiques and big brands. It is the perfect place to stroll around, buy souvenirs and enjoy a coffee on one of the nearby terraces. 8. San Cristóbal Castle Just below the Plaza de España, you can find the remains of the old Castillo de San Cristóbal, a fortress that defended the city from pirate attacks. The underground exhibition includes information about the history of the city and its defence, and you can also see the famous ‘El Tigre’ cannon, which is said to have fired on Admiral Horatio Nelson in his failed attempt to invade the island. 9. Museum of Contemporary Art of Tenerife (TEA) The Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (TEA) is a modern centre for art and culture. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece and houses a large library. 10. Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival If you are lucky enough to visit Santa Cruz during Carnival, you will witness one of the most important and colourful events on the island. This carnival, considered one of the biggest in the world, is famous for its costume parades, music, dancing and floats. The festival lasts several weeks and attracts locals and tourists alike.
