The Space
This single-level home features an open concept layout that connects the kitchen, living room, and dining area into one bright, welcoming space. It’s perfect for relaxing, cooking, and spending time together as a group. The living area includes glass French doors that lead to a deck with beautiful views of the spacious yard and Big Lake, making it a great spot for morning coffee or evening sunsets. Just off the kitchen, the mudroom offers added convenience with a full-size fridge, a separate beverage fridge, and a washer and dryer. The home has three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own closet, and one bathroom with a full bathtub.
Guest Access
Guests have full private access to the entire property with the exception of one locked closet in the kitchen and the garage/shop. Enjoy the house, spacious yard, beach, dock, bird-watching tower, and all outdoor amenities without sharing the space. Whether you're relaxing on the deck, playing in the yard, picking fresh fruit, or setting up an RV or tent, the entire property is yours to enjoy during your stay.
We will need to access the garbage container on or before trash day, which is collected on Tuesdays. We work closely with a pest control company that may need to access the exterior of the house. We will do our best to schedule these appointments to ensure that your stay is not interrupted.
There is a $100 per day fee for the use of RV hookups. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring an RV so we can prepare accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you!

Close to downtown Mount Vernon yet feeling peaceful and tucked away, Big Lake offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.
