Your spacious canvas wall tent features a cozy queen bed and overlooks sweeping views of the Pacific horizon, Big Bear, and miles of private walking and biking trails — including our signature Splitrock 5K loop.
Just 3 miles away, the Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve offers even more adventure. As one of Southern California’s last free-flowing wild rivers — and voted the #1 trail in San Diego County — this protected area is home to golden beavers, native wildlife, and the southernmost population of steelhead trout.

Please note: The Portal is fully off-grid and does not include standard electrical outlets. Solar lighting is provided, and guests are encouraged to bring portable chargers. Device charging is also available in the communal area. Each glamping unit includes its own private fire pit.

At the Oak Grove Communal Area, you'll find fire pits, outdoor games, and a shared kitchen space. The Camp Shop, located in the Oak Grove shipping container and open on weekends, is stocked with essentials like firewood, snacks, and bug spray.
