The Pressoir + Cave combination is our solution for large groups who want to stay under one roof without privatizing the castle. An internal connecting door links the two cottages — you essentially have one large house for 14 people with 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 separate kitchens, perfect for two families traveling together or for multi-generational family reunions.
On the Pressoir side, you have a large living room with satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, complete crockery), 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The rooms: 1 king size bed 180, 1 double bed 140, and a dormitory with 4 single beds 90 (ideal for children).
On the Cave side, the same comfortable layout is offered: a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. The bedrooms include one double bed (140cm), one king-size bed (180cm), and one bedroom with two single beds (90cm).
In total, 14 beds: 2 king size beds, 2 double beds and 6 single beds — can be configured according to your group. The great advantage of the combo is having two separate living spaces (two living rooms, two kitchens) but connected by an interior door: teenagers can watch a movie on one side while parents chat on the other, and children can move freely from one to the other without going outside.
Outside, there are two adjoining private gardens, each with a terrace, garden furniture and a barbecue. Together, they form one of the largest private outdoor spaces on the estate.
The Pressoir + Cave combo is part of the Domaine de Rochebonne, our former family property which has become a holiday estate. You retain access to the communal heated swimming pool (open 24/7 from May 1st to October 1st), the wooden fort, the sandbox, the swings, the badminton net, the football pitch and the pétanque court. Pets are welcome (supplement of €15/stay).
Practical information: bakery 800m away, butcher 1.4km away, village restaurants a 5-minute walk. Beaches a 10-minute drive, bridge to Île d'Oléron 8km away, Royan 24km away, La Rochelle 55km away. We live on-site, will personally welcome you upon arrival, and remain available throughout your stay.
