House Rules:
Quiet Hours: Adherence to quiet hours from 10pm to 8am is requested to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
No Party Policy:
● Parties or large gatherings are strictly prohibited at this property.
● Hickory Haven’s location allows easy access to the lively Bagnell Dam Strip—catch an Uber, enjoy the nightlife, and return to the property to relax and recover.
Violation Consequences:
● First Complaint: If a party or loud noise is reported and verified, you will receive one warning.
● Second Complaint: A second verified complaint will result in immediate termination of your stay. You will be required to leave the property, forfeiting all rent paid, deposits, and fees.
● Additional Fees: You will also be responsible for any charges incurred for extra cleaning or damage caused by unauthorized gatherings.
Check-In and Check-Out Policy
We strive to provide a seamless and comfortable experience for all our guests. Please review the following check-in and check-out guidelines:
Check-in:
● Check-in begins at 4 PM.
● Access Code: Your access code will be sent to you via email or text on the morning of your arrival. The code is time-activated and will work according to your reservation details.
Check-Out:
● Time: Check-out is at 10 AM.
● Departure Promptness: We often welcome new guests the same day as check-out, so it is essential to leave on time to allow our team adequate time to prepare the property. Late check-out may result in additional fees.
Early Check-In or Late Check-Out Requests:
● Early check-in or late check-out can be requested for an additional fee.
● Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are granted on a case-by-case basis depending on our reservation calendar.
Trash Policy
To ensure the property remains clean and welcoming for all guests, we ask that you follow these guidelines regarding trash removal:
● Bagging Trash: All trash accumulated during your stay, both inside and outside the property, must be securely bagged.
● Trash Disposal: Bagged trash should be taken to the designated dumpster as outlined in your property guide.
● Additional Fees: Excess trash or debris left behind that requires our team to bag and remove it may result in additional fees.
Guest Satisfaction and Support Policy
Our goal is to provide you with a 5-star stay and ensure your time at Hickory Haven is nothing short of exceptional.
Arrival Inspection:
● Upon arrival, we encourage you to fully inspect the property to ensure it meets your expectations.
● If anything is not to your satisfaction, please report the issue immediately.
● A member of our care team will respond within 2 hours on the day of arrival to address and resolve the concern to your complete satisfaction.
Dock Use & Lake Liability Policy
We welcome you to enjoy the use of our dock and the beautiful lake during your stay
at Hickory Haven. However, to ensure safety and clarity, please review the following
guidelines and liability terms:
Dock Use:
● Dock size is 9.5 ft. wide x 20 ft. long
● Guests are welcome to use the dock for relaxation, swimming, fishing, or other
permitted activities.
● Please exercise caution on the dock and surrounding areas to avoid slips, trips,
or falls.
Lake Safety:
● Guests are encouraged to follow all local and state water safety guidelines,
including wearing life jackets and observing no-wake zones.
● Always supervise children and inexperienced swimmers when near the water
or on the dock.
Liability:
● By using the dock, decks, and lake, guests understand and agree that the
property owners and Lakecation Vacations are not liable for any accidents,
injuries, or incidents, including slips, trips, falls, or drowning.
● Guests assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their group while on the property and in the lake.
Guest Policy: Only guests included in your reservation at the time of booking are allowed on the property. Additional guests or visitors are not permitted at any time.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and vaping, is strictly prohibited inside the home, on the decks, and in the dock areas. This policy is in place to maintain the comfort and cleanliness of the property for all guests. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a $750 fine to cover the cost of
professional remediation, including ozone treatment, to eliminate odors and restore the property to its original condition.
Pet Policy
We welcome pets at Hickory Haven with the following guidelines to ensure the comfort of all guests and the care of the property:
Pet Fee: There is an additional daily pet cleaning fee of $20 per night, which helps cover the cost of routine cleaning. This fee does not include any damages caused by the pet.
Pet Approval and Weight Limit: Only one pet up to 25 pounds is permitted, and prior approval is required.
Potty Trained Pets Only: Pets must be fully potty trained. Owners acknowledge and confirm this requirement before bringing their pet into the home.
Guest Responsibilities:
1. Waste Cleanup: Guests must clean up all pet waste from the property grounds and properly dispose of it.
2. Damage Liability: Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their pet, including but not limited to:
○ Carpet cleaning due to accidents
○ Furniture cleaning
○ Linen laundering
○ Repairs for scratches, tears, chewing, or other damage
3. Excessive Hair Removal: If significant pet hair is left throughout the property, additional cleaning fees may apply to restore the home to pristine condition for the next guests. By bringing a pet to Hickory Haven, guests agree to these terms and acknowledge full responsibility for their pet during their stay.
Upon Departure: Our dedicated cleaning staff will promptly prepare the home for our next guests. To avoid additional charges, we kindly request adherence to the designated checkout time of 10am. Late checkout fees may apply, unless otherwise arranged with your host in advance. Please do not ask for a late checkout during the months of May-September as we usually are booked solid and unable to accommodate such requests.
Minimum Age Requirement Policy
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, we have the following minimum age requirement:
● Primary Renter: The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age and is fully responsible for all guests under this age staying at the property.
● Responsibility: The primary renter acknowledges that they are responsible for the actions, behavior, and any damages caused by all guests they bring to the property.
Verification Process:
● You will be required to fill-out the pre-arrival form and verify your full name and age upon booking.
● A valid and verifiable government-issued ID matching the name on the
reservation must be provided. The ID must confirm that you are at least 25 years old.
Failure to Comply:
Failure to provide a valid ID meeting these requirements will result in the cancellation of the reservation without penalty to the property owner. All deposits and fees will be forfeited
Review Requirement: Bookings with insufficient reviews or ratings below 5 stars may be subject to review and further verification.
Feedback and Reviews: Guests who do not comply with house rules may forfeit the chance to leave a public review.
Booking Policies:
Long-Term Stays:
For reservations over 60 days, we offer a monthly cleaning service for $500.
We recommend travel insurance to protect your booking, as our cancellation policies remain in effect.
By booking this home, you agree to our house rules. Guests are responsible for personal injuries during their stay and any items left behind. Guests also allow entry for maintenance with 12 hours' notice.
