Quiet, rural Northwoods neighborhood along County Highway U near Tomahawk—surrounded by lakes, state forestland and seasonal cabins/resorts. Expect tree-lined roads, nearby boat launches and campgrounds, local supper clubs and small-town amenities in Tomahawk (grocery, hardware, diners). Outdoor attractions within easy drive include Lake Mohawksin/Wisconsin River, Timms Hill and regional snowmobile/ATV trails.
Most guests will drive — the area is car-dependent with limited public transit. Local roads are county and state highways (US‑51 and US‑8 are the main regional routes). Short local trips are walkable in parts of town but not along County Highway U. Rental cars, personal vehicles, regional taxi/shuttle services or local cab companies are typical. Nearest full-service commercial airports and larger retail/services are in Rhinelander and the Wausau/Mosinee area.
