An iconic ”Kelo” log cabin in the peace of nature, in the Palovaara area of Ylläsjärvi. The location offers a comfortable setting for enjoying Lapland's nature.
Originally built in 1990 using a traditional technique from full sized kelo logs, this cabin has been fully renovated between 2019-2025. The heart of the cottage is a warm living room equipped with an enchanting soapstone fireplace. This air conditioned cottage has a modern well-equipped kitchen, flat screen TV, Bluetooth audio and wi-fi with fast 5G connection. Charging of an electric car (3.6kw/h) possible.
The cottage is equipped with a very efficient air source heat pump for cooling and heating: Toshiba Arctic Wood. The cottage also has mechanical ventilation.
There is plenty of accommodation. One bedroom with a double bed and a 80 cm wide loft bed complement. The second bedroom has a double bed, and a sound- and light-insulating acoustic curtain provides privacy (the room does not have a door). In addition, there are four mattresses in the loft (14 m²), which provide comfortable sleeping places. The cottage has an electric sauna, separate washroom, toilet and practical storage.
