  • Access

Private | The floating cottage is entirely yours during your stay. You’ll have full and private access to the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, indoor lounge, and your very own waterside terrace — perfect for lazy mornings or sunset drinks. As this is also a personal retreat from time to time, you might come across a few personal touches or items in a cupboard or the fridge. • Transit

Reaching our floating cottage is part of the charm. Located in a peaceful marina on the Isle of Wight (Island Harbour Marina), it’s easily accessible by ferry from Portsmouth, Southampton, or Lymington, followed by a short drive across the island. While public transport is available on the island, we strongly recommend coming by car for maximum comfort and flexibility — especially if you’d like to explore the beaches, villages, and scenic viewpoints at your own pace. Free parking is available right next to the marina.

  • Neighborhood

Neighbourhood | Our floating cottage is tucked away in a peaceful marina, surrounded by gentle tides, sea breezes, and bobbing sailboats. It’s the perfect base to explore the natural beauty and coastal charm of the Isle of Wight. Walk or cycle along the nearby seaside paths, discover hidden coves, or hop in the car to visit postcard-worthy villages and dramatic coastal cliffs. No wellies needed here — but a good pair of windproof sunglasses wouldn’t hurt. Shopping | While you’ll feel blissfully removed from the rush of daily life, all essentials are close by. You’ll find supermarkets, cafés, and local shops just a short drive or scenic walk away — including options in Ryde, Bembridge, Sandown and Newport. Fresh fish & chips and an island-roasted coffee are never far.
