  Overall, we had a mixed experience at this property. The positives were that the location was absolutely perfect and very convenient for everything we wanted to do. The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and has a lot of charm. We also appreciated that the host was responsive and quickly addressed the AC issues we experienced during our stay. Unfortunately, there were several maintenance and cleanliness concerns. We found bed bugs, which required us to leave in the middle of the night. The host was not very helpful handling this situation. The floors did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned upon arrival, and the kitchen was missing a few basic items such as oven mitts. With better attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this could be an excellent place to stay given the great location and beautiful home.

  we arrived just before 9pm and could not see the house as there were ZERO lights left on for us. there is a very steep walkway from the parking area to the house that then leads to a rocky stairway - none of the lights around the walkway work and not even a porch light was left on. the address provided took us to the first house on the street, we had so much trouble finding the house that I had to call the owner for directions, which he was helpful. once inside, we found a piece of old peanut butter toast in the master bedroom next to the TV, the ceiling above the bunk beds was sagging - looks like from a leak, and the shower head downstairs did not work. The water pressure was so poor that you could not flush any of the toilets within 20min of each other due to the tanks not refilling. shower head pressure was so low that some of us just went without, because even though there are 3 showers you could only use 1 at a time. views and water access were great but house needs major TLC

  Overall we had a great stay here at the house! However, there was dirty dishes in the washer machine upon check in and the septic system (fumes wise) started leaking outside and in the house in some areas. That was minor compared to the overall stay! I’d recommend to any friends looking for a relaxing lake house get away
