Public Transportation: Mountain Area Transportation System (M.A.T.S.) provides non-fixed route, curb-to-curb transportation services within Fannin County. However, this service requires advance reservations and is not available on a fixed schedule.

  1. To enjoy that amazing view, guests will need to drive up the mountain—about 10 minutes from the main road. There are two routes available: Joann Sisson Road or Lucius Road, both off US-76 West.

We’ve tested both and highly recommend Joann Sisson Road. It’s fully paved, easier to navigate, and far less stressful—especially for those unfamiliar with mountain driving.
Look for the turn onto Joann Sisson Road off US-76W, marked by a large “Welcome to Cherry Log Mountain” sign at the entrance.
  1. The property is easily accessible via a paved road. The driveway does have solar lights but I recommend arriving while it’s still daylight to get acclimated to the drive.

Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement and check-in form that must be signed and returned prior to your arrival. 2. If you're local or under the age of 23, we kindly ask that you reach out before placing your reservation 3. *In case of Safely insurance* We will charge a small, non-refundable damage waiver fee to cover any potential accidental property damage during your stay. This fee replaces the traditional security deposit. 4. For direct bookings, please note that a 4% credit card processing fee applies to all cancellations and refunds, and we will honor the cancellation policy in place at the time of booking. 5. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the home and surrounding area, we kindly ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM. Sound can carry easily in this serene mountain setting. 6. While we want your stay to be both relaxing and memorable, our beloved cabin is not intended for parties. Out of respect for the property and our neighbors, unauthorized gatherings may result in immediate cancellation without refund. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation. 7. If small events are allowed: We’re happy to consider intimate gatherings such as baby showers, family birthdays, or other quiet celebrations. However, all events must be pre-approved in advance. Please share the details—including the number of guests and duration—for consideration. Large parties, loud gatherings, or disruptive events are strictly prohibited. Guests are responsible for ensuring all attendees follow house rules and respect neighborhood quiet hours. Unapproved events may result in the cancellation of your reservation without refund. 8. No Underage Drinking or Illegal Activity We have a strict policy against underage drinking and any illegal activity on the property. All guests must comply with local laws, including age restrictions for alcohol consumption. Any violation will result in immediate removal from the property without a refund, and the incident will be reported to the appropriate authorities. We take this seriously to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all guests and our community. 9. A valid phone number is required with your reservation. Guests must report any concerns related to cleanliness within two (2) hours of check-in. We take pride in offering a clean and welcoming space, and early notice helps us uphold that commitment. 10. Smoking of any kind—including vape pens and marijuana—is strictly prohibited inside the home. The use of open flames, such as candles, incense, or sage, is also not permitted. Violations will result in a $200 charge per night of your reservation. 11. To respect occupancy limits and maintain a quality experience for all, only the number of guests listed in the reservation is permitted on the property at any time. Exceeding this limit may result in the cancellation of your stay without refund. Unauthorized guests exceeding the maximum occupancy will be charged $50 per night, per extra guest. 12. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. A $50 late check-out fee will apply if this time is exceeded without prior approval. We appreciate your understanding, as our housekeeping team follows a tight schedule, and delays may affect their ability to prepare the home for the next guests 13. Pet Policy – Please Read Carefully Fees & Breed Restrictions • A $50 pet fee applies per dog and must be paid prior to check-in. • Failure to pay the pet fee in advance will result in a $100 charge per pet. • Undisclosed pets brought onsite will incur a $100 fee per pet. • We welcome up to two (2) dogs, each weighing no more than 50 lbs. • Cats and certain dog breeds restricted by our insurance policy cannot be accommodated. Behavior & House Rules • Pets must be completely housebroken, well-behaved, and free of fleas or pests. • Small dogs should be let out frequently to prevent accidents. • Pets are not allowed on furniture. • Pets may not be left loose in the home while you're away. • We provide soft dog beds for their comfort. • Guests must bring their own crate if leaving pets unattended. • Do not use cabin linens or towels on pets. • Bring your own pet towels. • Outside pet bedding or blankets are not allowed, as they may introduce pests. Sanitation & Waste Disposal • Pets are not permitted in the hot tub. • Evidence of pets in the hot tub will result in a $100 sanitation fee. • Guests must clean up all pet waste throughout their stay. • Place used waste bags inside larger trash bags before placing them in the exterior bins. • Failure to clean up properly or dispose of pet waste correctly will result in an additional cleaning fee of $50 or more. Trash & Bio-Waste Policy • Loose trash—including individual pet waste bags or diapers—may not be placed directly in outdoor bins. • The sanitation company collects only bagged garbage. • Violations will result in a $100 per bin fee for extra cleaning and re-collection. • Bio-waste damage (urine or feces on floors or furniture) will incur a $150 Enhanced Bio-Clean Fee. • This policy also applies to human bio-waste. • While the call of the wild may be tempting, please do not relieve yourself outdoors. • We wouldn’t do that in your yard—please extend the same courtesy at ours. Liability • Guests are fully responsible for any damage, pest treatment, or excessive cleaning resulting from their pets. 14. We kindly ask guests to leave the home as they found it. Excessive messes that go beyond standard cleaning will incur an additional cleaning fee, documented with photos. 15. The home is equipped with exterior security cameras to ensure guest safety and property protection. 16. Don’t forget to check for all personal items at checkout. A $50 retrieval and handling fee (plus postage) will apply for any items left behind. We'll do our best to return them within one week. 17. Guests who cause us to issue a refund or discount to future or current guests due to rule violations will be responsible for the cost. 18. Guests who disregard house rules or damage the property may be prohibited from booking again. 19. Guests who fail to arrive for their reservation, for any reason, will be considered no-shows. No-shows are non-refundable, and no credits, reschedules, or exceptions will be provided under any circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.
