The quiet town of Krapinske Toplice is surrounded by lush green hills which offer some excellent hiking routes, through unspoiled countryside. The Zagorje region is known for its stunning landscapes and forests. The town has several supermarkets and grocery stores where guests will find all they need for self-catering.
Krapina (20 minutes) is famous for the archaeological site of Husnjakovo Hill, one of the most important Neanderthal sites in the world. The town’s Neanderthal Museum offers an interesting insight into Neanderthal life and makes a fascinating day out.
Aquae Vivae thermal spa and water park is 100 metres away. There is something for everyone, from a large water park with multiple swimming pools and water slides to a thermal spa with massages and other therapies.
Central Zagreb is just 1 hour away. The city’s museums, cathedral and markets make an ideal day trip.
