90 km northwest from Helsinki, Lake Salkolanjärvi 500 m (length of 5 km, width 800 m). The beach has a shallow, hard sandy bottom and is shared by the four cottages; it may also be used occasionally by villagers. There is a rowboat shared between two of the cottages. The beach is a 550-meter walk away, and you must cross a road to reach it. The distance to the beach by car is 660 m. The village’s public swimming beach is 1.3 km away.
