Photos accurately show current water depth (8–10 feet) at our dock with the dam temporarily down for repairs. Water access is still available via staircases to the river, but please be aware that steep drops and multiple stairways may make the property unsuitable for toddlers or guests with mobility challenges.
Although the region is experiencing drought conditions, our water depth remains steady — however, river flow can occasionally be slow. We prioritize transparency, so please review all backyard photos carefully before booking.

Guess have access to the entire property except for the small shop building at the front of the property which we use for storage. The boat lift is also off limits.

Pecan Grove Retreat is a few minutes outside the city limits in the country. Even though we’re out of city limits, we are still less than 5 minutes to HEB, Walmart and several restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Neighbors are friendly and like to stop and chat. There is a Tiny House Airbnb to the left of the house and a sweet widow that lives to the right full time. If you are looking for more space, there are three tiny homes located to the left side of the home.
You will need a vehicle to get around. There is no public transportation.
-Prior to booking, kindly be aware that the property features several staircases and steep drops from the dock, potentially making it unsuitable for toddlers and individuals with difficulty navigating steps. There is no safety gate to protect children from entering the water.
-Pictures show water levels (8-10 ft deep) in front of our dock with the dam down for repairs. Stair access is available to the water. We try to be as transparent as possible about our water levels. Please review all photos before booking.
Outdoor amenities may have minor natural elements like cobwebs, bugs and pollen due to being in nature; we regularly clean but cannot eliminate these completely, especially during active guest stays. Outside area has several levels and stairs.
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $49 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
