Location
In the town of Castagnola, the apartment offers great access to Lugano and everything it has to offer. Close to the base of Monte Brè, guests will enjoy a ride on the funicular from Cassarate (5 minutes) to the mountain summit. The ferry terminal at Cassarate (3 minutes) allows you to explore the lake by boat. Meanwhile, the lakeshore and Parco San Michele are less than a 10-minute walk from here.
In central Lugano (about a 5-minute drive), there is much to see including MASI, The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland, plus many excellent restaurants and cafés in the historic Piazza della Riforma, where you can enjoy the best of Italian and Swiss cuisines. For self-catering, Lugano’s farmers market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (7 minutes) is the place to go to pick up the best local ingredients. The closest international airport is in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 15 minutes by car.
