The location is absolutely perfect. The lake is pretty busy so it was cool to see all the big boats. The backyard was perfect for the kids as it was spacious and the playground was a bonus. The fire pit by the water was stunning. The water near the cottage wasn’t very swimmable but with a short kayak we tied off at some of the islands and were able to swim. The paddle boat did not work as expected. I think the propelling paddles need to be replaced. The cottage its self was as expected. Some of the pictures do need to be updated as there is only one set of bunk beds and no small bed beside the king. The queen bed frame was broken and we had to take the bed off the frame and move the frame to put the mattress on the ground. The coffee maker was not working but with a quick message to the host he brought us a new one which was great! The shower head needs to be replaced as it is old and has build up so it barely sprayed. Besides the few small things we really enjoyed our stay!

The fridge did not work for all of the first day resulting in our groceries deteriorating. The host is not responsive often taking up to few hours to reply to messages. He refused to come in to check on the fridge or call a technician. I asked for a partial refund after the weekend and he was not accountable at all. Also, one of the paddleboat seats was broken and the seller had not communicated this. Save your money, it is not worth the risk with this host if something goes wrong.

The property is spacious with lots of green space to play games, but the photos on Airbnb are outdated and don’t reflect its current condition. The carpets were dirty, the number of beds had changed, and the shower barely worked. We expected an older cottage so this wasn't a huge issue, but the kitchen was unacceptable most dishes, cups, and utensils were filthy, covered in food despite a cleaning fee and the rule to wash dishes before checking out. When we wiped the countertops the amount of dirt that came off looked like they have not been cleaned in many months. Some pans were broken with exposed metal on the handles, causing my friend to burn his hand. We wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you enjoy cleaning up after previous guests. As a note the water is shallow, muddy, and more like a marsh not suitable for swimming, which isn’t clear in the listing but didn't negatively affect our review as the host has no control over this. We won’t book with Araka Management again.

We had a lovely stay! The kitchen was fully stocked, and both the interior and backyard were spacious and family-friendly. We especially enjoyed the paddleboard, kayak, and thoughtful outdoor space. That said, one main bedroom has an attached bathroom, but the door doesn’t close — there’s no latch hole or strike plate, and the thick carpet blocks it. This affects privacy and seems like a long-standing issue. Also, some listing photos aren’t accurate: there’s only one bunk bed, no twin bed beside the king, and the “king” is two double beds pushed together. These details matter for planning. We also saw a neighborhood dog enter the yard and leave droppings — some were already there when we arrived. Overall, we appreciated many aspects of the cottage and had a relaxing stay. With a few updates, this place could be even better for future guests.

The location is very beautiful! It looked better than the pictures. The cottage is spacious. It was clean as well but sometimes a few bugs will enter in. The host is very clear and communicative. The check in process was easy and I had no issues. The water did smell a little funny but it wasn’t too much of a problem. I really enjoyed my stay!

This is nice place to stay. We had lots of fun. We did kayaking, enjoyed at back yard and relaxed our long weekend. This area is away from city and peaceful. Lake is very near and it’s pleasant. Only thing is we faced some issues for hot water and regular water which was not that clean. Also backyard was not much clean and it definitely needs maintenance. Host was responsive and tried to help as much as possible he can. We would definitely like to stay ahead in such property.
