Location
The apartment is just a 45-minute walk from the historic centre of Olbia, which has much to offer. The medieval basilica of San Simplicio (10 minutes) is worth a visit, as are the cafés and shops around Piazza Matteoti (10 minutes).
There are many open-air markets in Olbia where you can find the freshest local ingredients and specialities. The best is on Saturday morning in Via Sangallo (5 minutes). Otherwise, there are supermarkets and smaller shops close by.
The closest beaches are Marinella (15 minutes) and Pittulongu (16 minutes) Both have crystal-clear water and are excellent for snorkeling and other water sports. For the glamour of the famous Costa Smeralda head to the resort town of Porto Rotondo (15 minutes) and enjoy a day exploring the upmarket boutiques and restaurants there.
Olbia, Costa Smeralda Airport, is just a 15-minute drive. The Port of Olbia (10 minutes) offers ferries to Livorno and Civittavecchia on the Italian mainland.
