A cozy log cabin located about 25 km from center of Tampere on the shore of Lake Kukonjärvi. The spacious lot is in a peaceful setting and gets plenty of sunlight. On one side, there’s a field, and
on the other, neighbors are nearby, so this is not suitable for noisy party or bachelor/bachelorette parties. The shore features a large sandy area and a private dock, providing easy access to swimming. The water deepens rapidly from the dock, with a sandy bottom at the start and a muddy bottom further out. No rowboat available.
The log cabin (built in 2013) features a spacious living room with a dining set, sofa, armchairs, TV, a heat-storing fireplace, and an air-source heat pump. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped (basic tableware for at least 10 people is provided). Downstairs there are three bedrooms, two with double beds and one bedroom has 2 beds 80 cm wide, that can be pout together. A baby crib (maternity package box with a mattress) and/or a travel crib (60x120 cm, weight limit 15 kg) are also available; please specify in the additional information if needed. The loft has two beds, each 80 cm wide and two mattresses on the floor. The loft is approximately 150 cm high. In addition, there is a toilet on the ground floor that also includes a shower stall.
On the shore, there is a lakeside sauna with a wood-fired stove with a hot water tank. The building has a small changing room with electric heating (radiator). During the summer, water is carried to the sauna from the lake; in the winter, water is carried from the cottage. Supplies for making an ice hole are available during the winter season. Please note that during freezing weather, it takes longer than usual to heat up the lakeside sauna.
