About this property

Located outside New Braunfels, Son’s Island is an actual Island with a tropical feel! This Island paradise is located on Lake Placid which is fed from the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. With a bridge at it's entrance, Son's Island is accessible by car. On Son’s Island are 22 large glamping tents that lucky guests can stay overnight in. Glamping Guests get to enjoy the Island after normal daytime hours, which is the best time to be on the Island as sunsets and sunrises there are absolutely beautiful!

The space

Our Glamping Tents are located near the cabanas. Each cabana has electricity, water, comfortable seating, picnic table, light, and private dock. Glamping Guests get free use of a cabana from 7:30 PM to 10:00 AM but must rent a cabana during the day if they plan to stay. We have 6 full, private, lockable bathrooms with hot water showers on the property located just a short distance from the Glamping Tents.

Guest access

We have a large bridge at our entrance so you can drive your car onto the Island and up to your Glamping Tent to unload. After unloading, Guests park their vehicles on the rear of the Island.

Other things to note

We are normally fully booked during the day. You must rent a cabana ahead of time if you plan to stay during the day, otherwise the Glamping rental is overnight only from 7:30 PM to 10:00 AM. If you rent multiple nights and don't rent a cabana you must leave the property during the day as we have limited space due to being an actual Island.
