Austin is a big city. Traffic is real. Geography matters.
Fortunately, this 3-bedroom home puts you in an excellent position.
Located at just 6 miles from downtown Austin, the home gives you a comfortable, thoughtfully finished place to recharge between Austin adventures. There are three bedrooms, one bathroom, and enough space for families, friends, business travelers, or anyone who prefers having an actual living room instead of conducting their entire vacation from the edge of a hotel bed.
The Rooms and Spaces
- Primary bedroom:One king bed, a private TV, and an electric fireplace for maximum coziness with minimal effort.
- Second bedroom: One queen bed, a TV, and its own electric fireplace. Nobody gets stuck with the “boring” room.
- Third bedroom:One queen bed, a TV, and—yes—another electric fireplace. We committed to the theme.
- Bathroom: One full bathroom shared by the group. A shower schedule is optional but scientifically advisable.
- Living room: Comfortable seating, a TV, and an electric fireplace for movie nights, morning coffee, and highly competitive decisions about where to eat.
- Kitchen: A fully stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, utensils, and the everyday essentials needed to prepare meals at home.
- Dining area: A dining table with seating for four, perfect for meals, card games, or unpacking several takeout containers and calling it a feast.
- Backyard: A large private yard with outdoor seating, string lights, and a propane fire pit—the ideal setup for relaxing evenings without having to gather wood or demonstrate survival skills.
Guests have full access to the entire home and backyard during their stay.
The only off-limits area is the locked renter’s closet, which is used to store supplies and other behind-the-scenes property essentials. It’s not exciting. We checked.
I’m available throughout your stay and happy to help with questions, recommendations, or anything that comes up.
The best way to reach me is by sending a message through the booking platform. That keeps everything in one place and makes it much easier for me to respond quickly without relying on my questionable ability to remember which text thread belongs to which house.
For anything urgent, please say so in your message, and I’ll respond as soon as possible.
The home is located in St. Johns, a residential pocket of North Austin that puts you close to the city without placing you directly in the middle of its louder decisions.
With convenient access to I-35, Highway 183, and Highway 290, getting around Austin is fairly straightforward—at least by Austin traffic standards. Downtown, the University of Texas, Moody Center, Mueller, North Loop, Hyde Park, The Domain, Q2 Stadium, and Austin Community College’s Highland Campus are all within easy reach. Downtown is typically around 15 minutes away when traffic cooperates.
The home is also located across from a city park, giving you quick access to green space and walking paths when you need a break from tacos, traffic, and carefully planned air conditioning.
Nearby, you’ll find local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, everyday shopping, and the restaurants and entertainment around Highland, The Linc, Mueller, and North Loop. It’s a practical home base for exploring Austin while still giving you a quieter place to return to at the end of the day.
A car or rideshare is the easiest way to get around from the home. You’ll have convenient access to I-35, Highway 183, and Highway 290, which makes reaching Downtown Austin, the University of Texas, Mueller, The Domain, Q2 Stadium, and other popular areas relatively straightforward.
There is parking for one vehicle in the driveway. For additional transportation, Uber and Lyft are widely available throughout Austin.
Public transportation is also available nearby, but travel times may vary depending on the route. Like most things in Austin, getting around is easiest with a little planning and a healthy respect for traffic.
