Barely 30 minutes from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, Sunny Weekend House is a three-bedroom duplex apartment for up to 5 guests. The mountain-view house with modern amenities has a private garden with loungers and an equipped terrace with plenty of outdoor furniture for dining and lounging. The indoor infra sauna on the first floor is just what the guests need after a day out exploring the various trails around the house.
The lovely cottage-like house is divided into two floors. On the ground floor, there is a rather spacious living room that opens into the terrace. Its open-plan layout is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa, a dining table with 6 seats, a flat-screen TV, an ambient fireplace and an open kitchen. The contemporary-style kitchenette is ideal for stress-free cooking. It has a Dolcegusto coffee machine, an oven, a cooker hob, an electric kettle and a fridge with a freezer. For storage, there is a closet in the hallway on this floor.

Location
The vacation rental is located at an altitude of 800 meters in the picturesque village of Preserje. There are many hiking and walking tours through the forest where guests can acquaint themselves with the surrounding areas and pick fresh fruits native to the land. There is also a lake nearby (200 meters) which is ideal for swimming and fishing. Guests can buy a daily ticket worth 20 Euros to fish in the lake. There is also a restaurant at 200 meters and a local produce market about 3 minutes’ drive from the house. The local farmers rent their horses which is a good way to explore the nearby villages and trails. During winters, the cross-country slopes (about 500 meters from the house) makes for a great skiing destination.
Since the capital city of Ljubljana is only a short drive from the house, guests are well-placed to explore the city and its many offerings. This includes the main square, castle, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, Tivoli Park, churches and museums. The fascinating world of underground caves that are typical of the Karst region is worth exploring on a day trip.
