Separate log cottage, completed in spring 2005, on the shore of Lake Ounasjoki in Kittilä.
The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The living room has a sofa bed for 3 persons.
Well-equipped kitchen-living room. Electric sauna, shower and separate toilet. Fireplace (baking oven above the fireplace is not in use). Drying cabinet for clothes. Satellite dish in cottage (including news channels in English, German and Russian).
The distance from the cottage to Kittilä is about 13 km and to Levi and Ylläs about 30 km. Suvantovirta is situated on the banks of the fishy Ounas River, the most common catches are grayling and trout. Fishing permits and where to buy them can be found at www.ounasjoki.fi.
Ball barbecue for use. Water in the tap contains iron, which causes smell and taste into the water. However, it's examined and potable. Wlan.
In winter the nearest groomed ski trail is about 3 km from Särestöniemi. From there you can reach to Ylläs and Levi's skiing tracks. There is a connecting track from Suvantovirta to Särestö from week 8, if the snow conditions allow it. There is direct access to the tracks from the cabin yard. The snowmobile track is 1 km along the road (50 m to the ice on the river, where you can also go sledging).
Toilets, laundry room, saunas renovated, windows, front door and floors replaced in May-June 2021.
New sofa and 43" Smart TV replaced in autumn 2024.
