The surrounding countryside offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, visitors can take scenic hikes or bike rides through the hills and explore nearby nature reserves such as the
Stična Marshes (Stiška močvirja).
Another popular excursion is a day trip to Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana (a 30-minute drive) where visitors can explore the historic Old Town and visit cultural attractions such as Ljubljana Castle and the Triple Bridge. Alternatively, guests can embark on a wine-tasting tour along the Dolenjska Wine Road, (a 45-minute drive) which winds through the rolling hills and vineyards of the region.
