About this property

The living area is built around comfort — plush pillow-back sofas face an electric stove-effect fire set in a traditional country-style mantelpiece, the kind of setup that makes it easy to lose an evening without noticing. The kitchen is fully equipped with an integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and full oven with hob, and the farmhouse-style dining table gives everyone space to eat together properly. Large front-opening patio doors open directly onto the decking — morning coffee outside, sunset drinks, or just fresh air whenever you want it.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed with an upholstered headboard and a private en-suite. The second bedroom has two single beds with good storage — comfortable for children or a second couple travelling together. Central heating and double glazing throughout mean the lodge stays warm regardless of what the weather is doing outside, which in the north of England is worth mentioning.
The lodge sits within South Lakeland Leisure Village, a secure, gated park with landscaped grounds and a genuinely impressive range of on-site facilities available to guests during their stay. The Pure Leisure Club has a 15-metre heated indoor pool, steam room, and fully equipped gym — passes are available to purchase at park reception by the day or week, and worth considering if you’re planning a longer stay. The Pure Essence Spa offers treatments and therapies with pre-booking recommended. Waters Edge Restaurant and Bar serves lakeside dining with a Mediterranean menu and outdoor terrace — a solid option for a night off cooking. There’s also a private fishing lake on site if that’s your thing.
Five minutes from the M6 junction means arrival is straightforward from Manchester, Leeds, or further south. Lake Windermere is thirty minutes away, the coast fifteen. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are both within easy reach for day trips — you’re genuinely well-positioned for people who want to explore rather than stay put.
The lodge is fully self check-in — no need to meet anyone or coordinate your arrival time. A lockbox is fitted at the property containing your door key. Your unique access code will be automatically sent via the platform message system just before your check in time, along with a full welcome guide covering everything you need to know about the lodge and the park.
Parking is directly outside the lodge. The lockbox is located on the door. Enter your code, retrieve the key, and you’re in.
Checkout is equally simple — lock the door behind you and leave the key in the lockbox. No need to contact anyone.
I won’t be on site during your stay — the lodge is yours to enjoy completely privately. Check-in is fully self-guided with a door code and detailed instructions sent before arrival. I’m always available by message if anything comes up and aim to respond quickly. Local recommendations, early check-in requests, or anything else — just ask.
The lodge has self check-in with full instructions sent ahead of your arrival — no need to coordinate with anyone, just arrive and settle in. We give all guests complete privacy during their stay and are available by message if you need anything at all.
Dogs are welcome! Please note that we do have an additional charge for dogs. We ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and not left unattended in the lodge.
The Pure Leisure Club — including the heated indoor pool, steam room, and gym — is available to guests at an additional daily or weekly fee, payable directly to the park reception on arrival. It’s well worth it if you’re staying a few nights.
Checkout is at 10am. Late checkout beyond this time incurs an additional charge, as we need to prepare the lodge for incoming guests. If you’d like to arrange a late checkout, please message us in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate subject to availability.
The lodge puts you within easy reach of some of the north’s best countryside, coast, and culture. Carnforth town — 5 minutes. Morecambe, Lancaster, and Kendal — 20 minutes. Silverdale and Arnside AONB — 15 minutes. Lake Windermere, boat hire, and lakeside walks — 35 minutes. Orrest Head and the Dales Way hiking trails — 30 minutes. World of Beatrix Potter — 35 minutes.
Local pubs, cafes, and restaurants are a short drive in any direction — ask us for recommendations and we’ll point you toward our favourites.
