  First, The Nest is a cottage. It's advertised as a "cozy cottage" and that's exactly what it is! I'm giving it 5 stars as a cottage. Every major living space (foyer, kitchen, dining/living room, and screened in veranda) has floor to ceiling views of Huyck's Bay. The kitchen appliances (oven, stove, fridge, dishwasher) are new / higher end. All functioned well. The screened in deck basically doubles the living space - includes an outdoor dinning for 8, an outdoor sectional, fire table, and other seating. And, a BBQ. The fire table was tricky to start, as was the BBQ. Once started the BBQ was functional. The bay comes right up to the property - maybe 10 meters from the house. Very Zen for a family of 4 adults. Lots of geese, cormorants and swans on the bay. The sunsets were spectacular. The local town (Wellington) is 10-15 min away (by car) and has an LCBO, Foodland, bakery and at least 1 farmer's market. The beds were comfortable. Lake sounds are like lullabies.

  The waterfront house was exactly as advertised. Lots of room, great screened place with propane table (took us a while to figure how to work) and loved the fridge with icemaker and large microwave and stove and oven. Water was filtered which was a plus! The binder could have added instructions on how to start propane heater and table and how to plug in twinkling light in screened in porch, but that was it. Would definitely recommend and rent again! Lots of small towns to explore as well as tons of wineries to visit!

  Amazing waterfront stay with beautiful access to the water. The house was cozy, very well equipped, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the patio, such a relaxing and comfortable place to spend time. Would definitely come back!

  Great space for a quiet getaway! It is gorgeous, right on the water, great views of the sunset! Super quiet, we even saw geese, goslings, and swans. Fair warning, there are quiet hours after 10PM, so keep this in mind for booking. Perfect for a girls’ night or family getaway! Great living space, screened in porch with tons of seating, as well as outdoor seating close to the water. Close to vineyards and restaurants but tucked away on the lake, it was exactly what we were hoping for. Ashley was quick to communicate and super helpful. Would absolutely recommend!
