The property is situated in the Itria Valley on the Salento Peninsula, an 11-minute drive from the historic town of Ceglie Messapica. The town has several historic churches and is home to a medieval castle that offers incredible views of the surrounding countryside.
Other popular excursions in the area include; a trip to the historic hilltop town of Ostuni (a 23-minute drive), often referred to as the "White City" due to its whitewashed buildings, a visit to the picturesque town of Cisternino (a 30-minute drive) known for its artisan crafts, including pottery, ceramics and handwoven textiles, or an outing to Martina Franca (a 20-minute drive) to explore its picturesque old town and well-preserved Baroque architecture.
The property is also within easy reach of Salento’s beautiful coastline, with its countless beaches including; Torre Santa Sabina, Villanova and Costa Merlata all within a 30-minute drive.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for outdoor activities. Guests seeking an active day out will enjoy the ‘water cycle route’, a unique path that follows the historic "hidden river" of Puglia. The project is dedicated to walking and cycling, designed to promote eco-sustainable tourism. The 10km route is part of the Apulian regional cycle network and extends between Cisternino (BR) and Ceglie Messapica (BR).
