The Turtle House game room is an absolute hit for families! From friendly games of pool and shuffleboard to classic arcade favorites, there's something to entertain everyone. Kids (and adults alike) can create lasting memories, whether playing a round of shuffleboard or enjoying our vintage arcade game.
Waterfront Paradise
Step outside and experience a slice of paradise on the water. The back deck and upper balcony provide breathtaking views of the Guadalupe River, perfect for watching the ever-changing hues of the sunset. Dive into the peaceful river, perfect for wading, floating, and water sports. Kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing await right at your doorstep. The river is known for its excellent fishing, with species like bass, blue cats, and channel cats populating the area.
Easily access the water via the boat ramp on the adjoining property, where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards, and other water toys. The shallow, slow-moving waters (averaging 2-5 feet) are ideal for relaxing on the water and enjoying the natural beauty of the river.
Please note: Water levels in the area are currently lower due to repairs on the Lake Placid Dam, but the setting remains perfect for water activities and enjoying the peaceful flow of the river. Pictures reflect current water levels.

You will need a car, there is no public transportation.
Lake levels are down to Guadalupe River levels for dam repairs until summer 2026 You can still swim, fish, kayak and enjoy lake activities. Please review all outdoor pictures, as these reflect current water levels, before booking.
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $49 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
