On the 2nd and 3rd floors of the elegant Villa Valone, on the outskirts of Galatina, this charming apartment offers an idyllic holiday retreat for friends and family. The apartment sleeps 13 people in comfort, and is an excellent base for guests to explore Salento’s historic towns and famously beautiful beaches.
The villa is set in lush gardens with grassy lawns, dotted with orange and pine trees and a beautiful fountain. Guests enter the apartment through an airy hallway complete with a grand piano and fireplace. The decor blends contemporary and antique furniture to create a comfortable but stylish environment. The open-plan living/dining room is furnished with a sofa, armchairs, plus a dining table and chairs. French windows open from the dining area out onto a private terrace where there is another table and chairs for meals al fresco overlooking the gardens. The spacious modern kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Bedrooms 1 - 3: All three en suite bedrooms enjoy air conditioning and access to a balcony terrace; they are each furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 4: The 4th en suite bedroom features air conditioning and access to a balcony terrace. This room is furnished with a double bed, a single sofa bed and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 5: This en suite bedroom features a double bed, twin joinable beds, access to a terrace and air conditioning.

Location
The villa is just a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Galatina, renowned for its magnificent churches, Baroque architecture and palaces. Guests can explore the town’s many attractions on foot with stops at one of the many cafés and bars. Not to be missed is the Ascalone pastry shop (6-minute drive), which has been serving the authentic and mouth-watering Pasticciotto Ascalone since 1740. For more delicious local food, the weekly market takes place every Thursday morning and is well worth a visit.
In the centre of the Salento peninsular, the villa is 25 to 30 minutes from either coast. The sandy beach of Santa Marina al Bagno (25 minutes) makes a wonderful day out. The port of Gallipoli (the Beautiful City), which was founded by Greek settlers thousands of years ago, is just 30 minutes away. Here you will find fascinating historical sites, ancient city walls and some of the best fish in Salento.
Lecce (30 minutes), the “Florence of the South”, is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.
The nearest airport is Brindisi, 50 minutes away.
