Best viewed from the water, the exceptional light display showcases fireworks that shoot up over 1000 feet, dispersing their glittering exuberance over Beaver Lake and creating a shimmer that reflects over the dappled waters.

Reader’s Digest named Ventris Trail’s End Fireworks the best 4th of July fireworks show in Arkansas, noting that while the state’s largest Independence Day fireworks display “Pops on the River” happens in Little Rock, the honors for best state fireworks display falls to Ventris Trail’s End Resort fireworks show on Beaver Lake because, “some things are just better on a boat.”

Life is Better on the Lake

Chief of Pyrotechnics for the Ventris Trail’s End Resort Fireworks display on Beaver Lake is Jody Simrell, owner of Ventris Trail’s End Resort. The fireworks show is one of the ways his family gives back to the community, and he takes his role seriously.

Jody beams, “Each year, the number of people attending increases dramatically, as the show captures the hearts of every person who watches it. The fireworks are choreographed to music that we all love, and the enthusiasm that builds in the crowd watching is entertaining in itself!”

The show, which Jody agrees is best observed from the water by boat, is projected toward the lake for an incredible effect caused by the reflection from the water.

The location is just South of marker “8” on Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas.

For the Simrell family, the fireworks display is a labor of love.

“This display is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to our troops, those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, the community, and all the volunteers who helped to put on the show!” Jody remarks, recognizing those who try to make this a better world.
