New AI travel concierge helps guests ask questions, compare stays, discover nearby activities, and move from inspiration to booking in one guided conversation
NEW YORK, NY — June 22, 2026 — Lake.com, the travel platform built for vacations by the water, today launched Lake Chat, a new conversational travel concierge that helps people explore destinations, discover things to do, compare accommodations, and book stays through a more natural back-and-forth experience.
Instead of starting with a search box and a long list of filters, travelers can now ask Lake Chat questions the way they would ask a local guide or a travel-savvy friend. A guest can type prompts like “Tell me about Muskoka,” “Find a quiet lake house near hiking for six people and a dog,” or “Which of these cabins is better for a family weekend?” Lake Chat responds with a mix of destination guidance, activity ideas, attraction recommendations, property cards, and comparison details designed to help travelers decide what to do next.
The product is designed to complement Lake Search, Lake.com’s property-focused search experience. Lake Search helps guests find accommodations. Lake Chat expands the journey by helping guests understand where to go, what to do nearby, and which stay best fits the trip they have in mind.
“Travel planning does not usually begin with a filter. It begins with a question,” said David Ciccarelli, founder and CEO of Lake.com. “Lake Chat gives travelers a simpler way to explore vacations by the water. You can ask about a lake, narrow your options, compare properties, and keep moving toward booking without losing the thread of the trip.”

Lake Chat is organized around the way people naturally make travel decisions: welcome, discover, consider, compare, and reserve. Early in the conversation, the assistant can help a guest explore lakes, towns, parks, attractions, and seasonal trip ideas. As the guest gets more specific, Lake Chat can surface relevant accommodations, explain trade-offs, and help compare options based on factors such as sleeps, bedrooms, bathrooms, rating, price, cancellation policy, amenities, and fit for the trip.
The experience is built around three core travel categories:
- Accommodations: where to stay, including lake houses, beach houses, cabins, cottages, and villas available through Lake.com.
- Activities: what to do, from boating and swimming to hiking, dining, fishing, family outings, and romantic getaways.
- Attractions: what to see nearby, including lakes, parks, marinas, towns, events, and points of interest.
That broader approach reflects how people actually plan trips. A traveler may not know which property they want at the beginning. They may only know that they want a peaceful lake weekend, a pet-friendly cabin, a fall-color road trip, or a place where the kids can swim, and the adults can relax. Lake Chat helps turn that kind of open-ended intent into a more confident travel decision.
“Guests should not have to translate a dream trip into dozens of checkboxes,” said Stephanie Ciccarelli, founder and Chief Brand Officer of Lake.com. “Lake Chat is meant to feel more like a thoughtful travel guide: warm, practical, and focused on helping families and friends find the kind of stay that will actually work for them.”
Lake.com currently features more than 75,000 property listings and destination coverage across 10,000+ lakes, parks, and waterfront regions. The company’s platform is focused on vacations by the water, with a guest experience built around transparent pricing, no guest fees, and direct booking through Lake.com.
While much of the travel industry is still experimenting with how AI should fit into trip planning, Lake Chat is designed to keep the guest inside one connected journey: from asking a question, to understanding the destination, to comparing stays, to booking the right property.
Lake Chat is available now through Lake.com.
