Event details
What is the AIM Pro Walleye State Championship?
The AIM Pro Walleye State Championship is a premier annual fishing tournament held at the Cass Lake City Ramp in Cass Lake, Minnesota. Scheduled for September 5-6, 2025, this exciting event draws professional anglers eager to display their walleye fishing expertise in a competitive freshwater environment. It follows the AIM Catch-Record-Release™ format, allowing teams of pro and co-anglers to measure each legal walleye’s length, photograph it, and then release it back into the water. This sustainable practice not only protects the fishery but also presents a unique challenge for the participants.
How to Participate in the Tournament
To join in the thrill of the AIM Pro Walleye State Championship, teams must pay an entry fee of $500. Registration will close on September 3, 2025, so be sure to secure your spot early. Boat inspections will be conducted from 5:30 AM to 6:45 AM at Stoney Point Resort, the venue for launching the boats. The tournament will kick off with Flight 1 (Boats 1-50) starting at 7:00 AM and Flight 2 (Boats 51-100) at 7:15 AM. Return times will be scheduled for 3:00 PM and 3:15 PM respectively, ensuring a well-organized event.
What to Expect from the Competition
Mark your calendars for the awards ceremony, taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Stoney Point Resort. Payouts will be structured based on an 80-boat field, with the top prize reaching an impressive $12,000 for the first-place winner. This is your chance to shine and reap rewards while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow anglers.
Participating in the AIM Pro Walleye State Championship is not just about fishing; it’s about community, excitement, and the love of the sport. If you have questions or need more information, feel free to reach out to Denny Fox at 920-505-0122.
