Lake Tahoe’s clarity is famous for a reason, and spring is when locals roll up their sleeves before summer crowds arrive. The Sand Harbor Shoreline Sweep is part of Nevada’s America 250 volunteer effort, inviting families to spend a few meaningful hours collecting litter along one of Tahoe’s most beautiful stretches of sand and granite.
Treat it like an easy, feel-good day trip: arrive early, help out, then reward the crew with a picnic and a walk on the East Shore Trail. Bring gloves if you have them, dress for cool lake breezes, and check for final meet-up details as the date approaches.
