Join us on April 26, 2026, for the Appalachian Highlands Bass Anglers Club Shoot on the Holston River in Bluff City, Tennessee. This annual fishing tournament brings together anglers of all ages and skill levels to celebrate the joy of bass fishing in the serene setting of South Holston Lake. Surrounded by the lush Appalachian Mountains and bordered by the Cherokee National Forest, the lake offers a picturesque backdrop for a day of friendly competition and community spirit.

The event kicks off with an honor start at 6:30 AM, allowing participants to launch from any ramp on South Holston Lake. Weigh-ins begin at 3:10 PM at the Painters Creek Boat Dock, where anglers can share stories and camaraderie. The competition allows each team to weigh in up to five fish, with specific size regulations: smallmouth and largemouth bass must measure at least 12 inches, while spotted bass need to reach 15 inches. Entry fees are $25 for TNCBA membership and $20 for both members and guests. Prizes include Watson’s Gift Cards awarded to the top five teams, along with a special prize for the biggest fish.
