Bennett Spring’s cold, spring-fed river is one of Missouri’s most satisfying places to teach a first cast. On Kids Free Fishing Day, children 15 and under fish for free, with streamside volunteers ready to help with knots, lures, and a confidence boost for new anglers.
Plan a full day in the park: follow easy riverside trails, picnic near the spring branch, and warm up at the dining lodge between bites. Adults still need the required permits and tags, so stop by the park store before you hit the water.
