Join us for the Bluewater Anglers’ Walleye Derby, a cherished annual event that brings together families, friends, and fishing enthusiasts for a weekend of fun and camaraderie. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Waterfront Park Ramp in Point Edward, Ontario, this derby offers a unique opportunity to fish the abundant waters of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron. Whether you’re casting from a boat or the shore, the event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming anglers of all ages and skill levels.
The derby kicks off on Friday, July 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM and continues through Saturday, July 26, 2026, with the weigh-in at the hatchery between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. To participate, anglers must purchase a $10 entry ticket, available at The Outdoorsman until 4:30 PM on Friday. The fishing area spans from the St. Clair River south to the end of Fawn Island, east to Grand Bend’s harbor, and north to latitude 43°34′ in Lake Huron. Prizes are awarded to the ten heaviest walleyes caught, with a grand prize of $500 for the largest fish. Additionally, Bluewater Angler members have a chance to win an extra $100 prize for entering the heaviest fish. Draw prizes are also available for participants present at the event, adding an extra layer of excitement.
