Four days of bird walks by bays and beaches
Celebrate spring migration with guided walks, wildlife talks, and family-friendly programs across Cape May’s dunes, marshes, and waterfront trails.
Event details
Cape May in May is one of the East Coast’s great nature stories: warblers in the thickets, shorebirds on the flats, and a steady parade of songbirds pushed along by coastal winds. The Cape May Spring Festival wraps that migration into four packed days of guided walks, kid-friendly learning, and plenty of time outside.
Choose a beginner bird walk near the bayside marshes, then balance it with beach time and lighthouse views. Even families with zero birding experience can enjoy the festival by renting binoculars, joining a short walk, and letting the experts point out the action.
